Armed with this knowledge, boost by gear, timing by gear, or any other parameter control where knowing actual shifter position will give you an edge, FFRC can give you that ability.
4 Ground State Sensor (4GS)
This is a universal and wirelessly programmable shifter state sensor and datalogger. It mounts to your H-pattern transmission and reads the exact position of the shift lever using a high-precision magnetic field sensor. Based on the current shifter state, the controller sends ground signals you program to your engine management system (EMS) to enable clutchless shifting — ignition cuts, throttle blips, and rev-match blips all happen automatically at exactly the right moment.
